Consumer shopping pattern and travel plan on New Year’s Eve

One of the busiest days in a year is undoubtedly is New Year's Eve. And with the popularity of the online stores, the probability of surge in sales online compared to brick and mortars is extremely high. A study by Velocity MR said that over 70% of the consumers shopped online for the New Year in 2016/2017, showing a promising sign that 2018 is also going to have similar or higher online sales traffic as well.

December being one of the most festive seasons is a major opportunity for the e-commerce companies as consumers are always on a look-out for festive discounts especially on the branded products. Velocity MR, acknowledging the popularity of e-stores during Christmas and New Year's Eve, conducted a study to understand consumer shopping pattern and their travel plans on New Year's Eve.
