About 80% Men are Overly Cautious around Women at Workplaces

In the light of the events that took place in October 2017, #Metoo spread virally across the social media as a hashtag, in an attempt to spread the awareness and demonstrate the prevalence of sexual assault and harassment in the workplace. Though the incident involving sexual harassment only came into the light in 2017, it existed and was quite common in many industries, especially in the entertainment industry. Thanks to the movement many incidents as such were surfaced and many women took a stand, making the world know they won’t stay quiet anymore.

Velocity MR, conducted a study on #MeToo to understand the concerns and viewpoints of Urban India with regards to #MeToo movement and received coverage from 21 media publications including print coverages from Deccan Herald (Page 2, Karnataka Edition, Nov 30th), The New Indian Express (Page 2, Karnataka Edition, Nov 30th), The Pioneer (Page 13, Delhi, Nov 30th) and Kashmir Reader (Page 7, Kashmir, Nov 30th).
